Weight Lifting Injury
How
to combat the swelling involved in a Wweight Lifting Injury
Use
R.I.C.E therapy recommended by many Doctors and Physicians. This
should be done during the first 24-48 hours of the
Injury

R
- (Rest) The first part of Rice therapy. During this phase you are
going to want to refrain from putting any stress on the injured part
or joint

- (Ice) During this second phase of Rice, use ice to combat swelling
for a minimum of 10 minutes and no longer than 20 minutes to avoid
frostbite. Repeat this step at least 3 times a day

C
- (Compression) In this step, gently compress the swelling
preferably with a wrap. This helps to get rid and prevent more
swelling. Do be careful not to compress too hard or too often as
this will aggravate the injury.

E
- (Elevate) The last part of rice therapy is to elevate the injury.
Keep it above your heart to ease the pain and also reduce and
prevent more swelling.
